Iwaoi Big Bang / Bingo
A BigBang centered around the platonic and romantic relationship between Aliens and Godzilla Oikawa Tooru and Iwaizumi Hajime <3Both SFW & NSFW.❗️ATTENTION: The BigBang is on-hold for 2026.
Instead we will be hosting a special event: IwaOi Bingo!
Regular BigBang is planned to resume early 2027.

Bingo Explained1. The IwaOi Bingo is an extra event hosted by the IwaOi BigBang team and server as in-between-bangs event to keep the IwaOi spirit alive.
The Bingo will run until December 31st 2026.2. The Bingo Event is open to all, whether you participate in the BigBangs or not.
If you want to brainstorm your bingo prompts with fellow IwaOi creators, you are welcome to join
our Discord server.3. The Bingo has 3 Tiers, Mini (3x3), Medium (4x4) and Maxi (5x5). If you create art/writing/fan content for 3/4/5 prompts that create a bingo on your chosen card, you can claim a small "prize" (this is optional, you are not required to claim the prize and can participate just for the fun of it or boast with your bingo without claiming the prize) - to claim your reward, please DM us on Discord, BSKY or Tumblr or e-mail us ;)In general, you are not forced to pick a card and stick to it - you are welcome to choose as many prompts from as many cards as you like.
You are free to interpret, adjust and combine prompts however you like!4. Our current standard prize is that you can send us 1 piece of work of yours of your choosing for every bingo you accomplish (eg. an art piece that you are very proud of, a fic you wish had gotten more hits, head canons you want to share with more people, etc) and we will share it from our social media channels and promote it on our discord server (all fandoms & all ships qualify, as long as they don't contain any of our prohibited content).If you create for any 5 prompts from the card (excluding the free fields!), regardless of wether they form a bingo or not, there is also a special extra sponsored by Mod Charly waiting for you.5. We will share all bingo contributions that we are tagged in on our X, Tumblr and BSKY (@iwaoibb everywhere) - you
can also add the #iwaoibingo2026.
Furthermore, you can add works to our Ao3 collection "iwaoibingo2026".6. BigBang guidelines for prohibited content (no incest, romatizisation of abuse, sexual content featuring underage characters & rape/non-con), as well as our strict "No Generative AI, in any shape or form" policy also apply to the bingo.7. Otherwise all content is welcome!
SFW & NSFW; beginner and experienced creators; art, writing & other fan content including cosplay photography, fanfic reviews/recommendation lists for a specific prompt, analysis, head canons, etc — there are no official guidelines for how much is needed for a prompt to be considered fulfilled, but we still recommend that written works have at least 250 words and art pieces are at least cleaned up sketches.•••Tier 1 - Mini (3x3)Card 1:

BigBang BasicsA BigBang is a type of fan event where a writer and an artist are matched to work as a team, with the artist drawing a piece for the writer's story.
Tthere are no requirements or experience needed to join this event—artists and writers of all skill levels are welcome to participate <3A BigBang can be described in 6 stages (look HERE for concrete days):1. (Sign Ups) Everyone interested signs up for the event and joins our Discord server—signing up does not require
any information other than which role you want to participate in (artist, writer or beta-reader).2. (Summary Submission) Writers submit their ideas (a summary, tags, trigger warnings, rating, etc.) for an IwaOi story to the Mod Team.
Details about your idea must be kept secret and may only be shared with other writers and the Mod Team, as not to spoil the selection process.3. (Claims) An anonymized list of all writer ideas is presented to the artists & beta readers, who then select all those they find interesting and submit their choices with the Mod Team.
Selection happens solely based on how interesting the ideas are—artists and beta readers will not know who the author of which idea is, to prevent bias based on eg. popularity, writing style, etc.4. (Pairings) Based on the artist's and beta reader's selections, the Mod Team will assign the teams, so that every writer has an artist who has expressed interest in their idea.5. (Creation Period) Teams will work in tandem to brainstorm together and to create an artwork that relates to the writer's work—the Mod Team will check your progress periodically (see schedule!).6. (Posting Period) The name "BigBang" is a reference to there being a "sudden explosion" of content, when everyone posts their works within a short period of time.
Even if you are finished earlier, you can only post your BigBang piece during this assigned time
period ;)•••TiersTier 1: Writers should have a complete fic of at least 5k words by the end of the creation period. Artists should complete at least one full art piece based on their assigned writer’s work.Tier 2: Writers should have a complete fic of at least 15k words by the end of the creation period. Artists should complete at least one full and one additional art piece based on their assigned writer's work.⇣Full art piece = characters + full canvas background/scenery with complete shading & lighting -> highest level of rendering you can offer.Additional art piece = this can be a flat piece without shading, a piece with incomplete background/character + props only, other art such as character design sheet for AUs/maps/concept art of other important story elements. It can also be another full art piece.•••General Rules• Canon, canon divergent, and alternate universe content is allowed.• Writers may include any trope or setting that is not excluded in the restrictions below.• Your story should be a new and independent creation for this BigBang, though you are allowed to continue/expand pre-existing AU's/stories as long as your BigBang piece also works as a solo story.• Artists may participate with digital and traditional art (under the condition that you can provide a good quality scan or picture).• You can sign up with a predetermined partner if you already know who you want to collaborate with.
For organizational purposes, you will still be required to formally submit a summary.• This event is GenAI free! The use of generative AI is absolutely prohibited, for both artists and writers—all works must be new, your own and original.
Using GenAI for your BB piece will result in immediate exclusion from the event.• Other ships & characters are allowed, as long as there is a focus on IwaOi.•••Prohibited Content• Romanticization/Glorification of abuse (physical and mental), explicit content (violent and sexual) featuring underage characters, pedophilia, rape/non-con, and incest are generally forbidden throughout the Bang and our server.• Major character death, graphic violence, and content related to suicide, self-harm, mental illness and other dark/heavy topics are generally allowed as long as they are not being glorified, fetishized or romanticized.
They must also be tagged with appropriate trigger warnings both on Social Media and Ao3 to be reblogged and included in the Ao3 collection.•••Rating InformationOur event will work with 6 rating-steps, following the Ao3 scale:
• General (G)
• Teen Up (T)
• Mature 1 (M1) = for mild/non-graphic gore/violence, frequent strong language or other non-explicit hard topics
• Mature 2 (M2) = for any frequent but non-explicit sexual themes
• Explicit 1 (E1) = for extreme/graphic gore/violence or other non-sexual but explicit themes
• Explicit 2 (E2) = for explicit sexual themes‼️ To submit or claim a summary that is rated Mature 2 (for sexual content) or Explicit 1/2 (for any reason) you must be 18+ ‼️
Any attempt to enter the adult section of the bang as a minor will lead to immediate removal from the event.NSFW content must be tagged appropriately both on Social Media and Ao3 and all SFW restrictions apply.
Furthermore, we do not guarantee NSFW writers a match-up with an artist, as there are usually fewer artists willing to draw for explicit stories! Please keep that in mind when drafting your pitch.
(Unmatched NSFW writer are still welcome to contribute solo <3)
